ABOUT HOPI HOEKSTRA

Dr. Hoekstra is the recipient of the 2015 award or her work probing the molecular basis of how adaptation to novel selective pressures establishes and sustains diversity during evolution.  Her tour-de-force transdisciplinary studies have illuminated a fundamental mechanism by which complex behaviors can evolve through multiple genetic changes each affecting distinct behavioral modules.
